Press release: “Travelling for a dream: beyond the barriers”: the end of the trip!
27th july 2014
Last night, the 4th edition of “Travelling for a dream: beyond the barriers” finished: Pietro Rosenwirth, motor handicapped, went back to Trieste on his special scooter-trike.
He has travelled for 27 days through Italy, France, Spain and Portugal, where he reached Cabo da Roca, the easternmost extent of Europe.
As in the previous editions, Mr. Rosenwirth was capable of creating and participating in meetings of exchange, debates and sharing of information with different realities, actively involved on the territory for the protection and the rights of the handicapped; in Milan, Turin, Porto, Lisbon and Blagnac (Toulouse) he met both public associations and private citizens.
“I am obviously tired, but I am also very happy with this new thrilling experience” said Mr. Rosenwirth.
“I have visited wonderful places, I have faced and overcome some difficulties and accidents and, most of all, I have done what I really wanted: I have taken the opportunity to keep fighting for my goal, which is having discussions, debates, sharing and sensitizing people about the handicap topic and the demolition of the barriers”.
“There are still a lot of things to do” concluded Mr. Rosenwirth, “I still have a long way to go and I am going to keep travelling and doing my best to create a new world, where there are less barriers, in order to move in freedom!”.
The travel diary, more pictures and videos will be published on the website www.handytrike.eu where, thanks to the updates of Pentagramm, manager of the site, you can find, besides the press release, a lot of picure galleries.
